Fixed! SPS Programs 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 2lt Seat Memory Modules
Car model and year: 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 2lt, it’s flooded car.
It’s a flooded car.
I put in a new bcm, I installed all new modules inside the car, for the most part.
Purpose:
To replace the seat memory modules (k40) on both my passenger and drivers seat with new ones from GM. New part numbers are 13517130 and 13517131.
And I want to program the seat memory modules with SPS.
Problem:
Couldn’t program the seat memory modules with SPS, any other module in the car can be programmed successfully.
but it does show my VIN and the module part number.
If I go to GDS2 to do trouble shooting it will not read any DTC’s.
Here was what I got in GDS2 when I try to read the DTC’s, get the control module status and try to command an operation of moving the seat.
This is what I get when it errors out:
Suggestions:
@Dale002 advise:
Wow that’s unreal. I called ACDelco and they told me since my car is a salvage car that they won’t help me as they don’t know the condition of my car. They advise for me to take it to a dealer. What a rip off. I re flashed all my modules for the exception of the ebcm and seat module as both have the same issue. One thing to keep in mind is that there may be other components that may not work correctly if they require input from these modules. Greed run rampage at GM!
Yesterday, I was able to re flashed drivers module but the passenger is still un programmable.
@ n_brio advised:
Can be the harness that is corroded thats why i changed all. mine was green in some connections.
The end…
Finally was successfully able to program both passenger and driver seat memory modules. Not sure if it was a factor but I had the seat side connectors, the connector that goes the the seat motors, disconnected and had the car in the accessory position.
I wish I had more details as to why it worked but I have no clue why it did. Really the only thing I did different was unplug everything from the module except the connector that provides power and CAN signal, I think my CAN signal was on separate connector so I had 2 connectors plugged into the module. I also only put in ACC mode, just 1 press on start button (did not hold to put in RUN mode).Hopefully you can get it to work.
